Connect 3 HDMI media players and 2 screens to your eARC soundbar
In the video area, the Matrix Switch supports Ultra HD resolutions up to 2160p at 60Hz, 3D, HDR formats such as HLG-HDR, HDR10, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. Both connected displays get the same signal. If the displays have different properties, you can either optimise the video signal for display A (COPY mode) or have one compatible signal to both (AUTO mode). In EDID mode STD, 4K 60Hz HDR10 can be forced and transmitted. In addition, most players allow further settings.
If a 4K and a full HD display are connected, the Full HD display shows only one image when the player delivers a full HD signal. If 3D video is to be used, either both displays must support 3D and the auto mode must be used. Or display A must support 3D and the COPY mode must be set. Usually 4K and 3D playback are mutually exclusive. If only one display supports the colour space Dolby Vision and the second display does not, a compromise is required when using external players or the HDR mode must be switched on the player at a time. An HDR10 video signal can also be processed by 4K SDR displays. But a Dolby Vision video signal is displayed distorted on a 4K display without Dolby Vision.
The audio formats of your soundbar are automatically detected. All sound formats (including Dolby TrueHD with Dolby Atmos, Dolby MAT and LPCM 5.1/7.1) can be transported via eARC. If your TV has been releasing the sound of external players in a time-delay, this switch solves the problem. Because the switch delivers the sound to the TV and soundbar at the same time. The matrix switch is update-enabled via USB and Windows PC. The switch comes with a current firmware. It is suitable for a soundbar with the newer HDMI-eARC connection (e.g. Sonos Arc, Sonos Bean Gen.2, Bose 900).
Please note that there is no CEC control function due to distribution to 2 HDMI countersinks. The switching between the players must therefore be done via the included infrared remote control. The soundbar and the players or Displays do not turn on or off automatically. The volume control for the soundbar must be configured via infrared, e.g. by the universal control of the soundbar or remote control from the Apple TV, Fire TV Cube, TV etc. Or the respective app can be used.
Connection for eARC soundbar (or AV receiver or Apple TV with homepods) HDMI inputs 2, 3, 4 for 3 players. Connection for TV 1 (supports eARC/ARC for TV sound). Connection for video projector or TV
To switch the signal sources, use the included infrared remote control. You can also make all settings on the switch itself. Automatic switching is not possible.
The signal inputs can be distributed to the two outputs. The player 2 can be played at the same time on display A and B. Or display A shows player 2 and display B shows player 4. The sound output of a soundbar on the eARC port always follows display A. To play the sound from a TV with HDMI-ARC, switch to 1.
